Research forms the backbone of everything we do in the Ritchie School. Central to our research are the principles of creativity and interdisciplinary collaboration, with the goal of improving human lives through the promotion of better technology. Our researchers work to design new building materials, create educational games and develop renewable energy systems. We impact fields ranging from cardiac health to cybersecurity to robotics.
The opening of our new $62.5 million dollar facilities allowed us to create several new labs, and bolster the capabilities of many existing ones. In addition to exemplary facilities and equipment, we’re also able to offer valuable connections, as our researchers have partnered with organizations like the US Missile Defense Agency, the Air Force Office of Scientific Research, Lockheed-Martin and Boeing. Our faculty and staff empower students to use science and technology to promote health, justice and sustainability locally and globally. The University brings innovators and entrepreneurs from around the world to campus, while our students embrace opportunities to collaborate with Denver Public Schools and other organizations to encourage STEM education among young women. Research at the Ritchie School covers topics ranging from the dynamics of human movement to humane game design to assistive robotics.
